Start of activity as a general machinery manufacturing and repair workshop. Giave is the continuation of a family-owned mechanical workshop, founded by Mr. Jaume Ginestí Munné in 1968. Some years later, Mr. Jerónimo Ginestí Avellana, son of the founder, joined the workshop boosting the small workshop and focusing on the design and the construction of flexographic presses for the printing on paper and polyethylene.
Nowadays Giave is managed by Oriol Ginestí Crusells, founder's grandson.

Beginnig of design and manufacturing of flexographic printing presses.

Manufacturing of the first flexographic printing press. The company’s activity is focused on the printing sector.

Manufacturing of the first gravure printing press. The name of GIAVE begins to be used as a brand.

Creation and registration of the GIAVE brand. The company’s activity is only focused on the manufacturing machines for printing on flexible materials.

Manufacturing of the GAMMAFLEX printing press, which was accepted by the market with great success.

Evolution of gravure printing groups, incorporating exchangeable ink trolleys.

Relocation to the new plant, located in Polígono Industrial Pla de Llerona, with 4.000 m2 for manufacturing and 600 m2 for offices.

The first-generation gravure printing press equipped with electronic shaft and independent servo-motors is introduced to the market.

Manufacture of the first gear-less flexographic machine, suitable for high-quality printing and specially designed for fast job changeovers.

Manufacturing of a rotogravure printing press specially designed for stamps printing, incorporation some rotogravure printing units, die cutting, digital printing, cutting and sheeter.

Manufacturing the first machine combining flexographic and rotogravure printing units inline in the same application.

Internationalization of the company.

Giave initiates the generational change in the company.

We are 50 years old! We started our activity in 1968 and since then, over this half century, we have developed a wide range of products that integrate constant improvements in performance, quality and technology of our equipment.

We received the recognition of “Pyme Innovadora” by the Spanish Government.
